Can you all help me price and date this bike? It's in pretty nice shape.

Check out the Classic Fuji site, including catalog by year and dating information by serial number.
Seems original, except for the missing leather saddle. Based on color and top tube cable clips it's between 1978 and 1980.
Interesting that this model barely changed between 1978 and 1983.

The Fuji America was a pretty nice bike when it came out in the late 70s / early 80s. Higher up in Fuji’s catalog. Seems to be in the “sport” tourer catagory. I love the colors and yours appears to be in very good condition. Bar end shifters - triple chain rings and other desirable features. To the right buyer I think you could get $300+ in the Denver area. But...would probably need to wait for Spring and need a buyer that realizes this not a base model vintage Japanese bicycle. Sweet bike...I’d keep it.

Still learning
Looks pretty clean, but probably needs wheel hubs and bb cleaned and regreased. The seller ask of $250 with new rubber isn't a bad deal. Good luck!

I'd buy at $250 all day long for a Fuji America in that condition...

I love a nice Fuji. You have a very nice one there. It's got chrome on chainstays & front forks. Sweet decals & paint. Looks like alloy quick release wheels front & back. Probably top of the line Suntour components. Made in Japan. Guessing it's around 1980 vintage. If that was an Italian bike, we would be having a completely different conversation about price. That bike. You could ask for $500 with a straight face. And, you could probably get it.

It has almost all stock components, so alloy wheels (in good shape, no brake wear) suntour shifters and cyclone GT rear derailleur. The front derailleur has been replaced with a shimano deore xt, so not exactly a low-quality replacement part.
I fixed its flat rear and took it for a ride, despite having a horrible cold and an exam in the morning, and man was it sweet. I'm going to put a lot of miles on this lady.

Well done. I have a friend with a Fuji America here in Denver. He really likes his. New bar tape and maybe a different saddle...it will look even better.

Yeah, the chain was super worn so I replaced it and the freewheel, adjusted the barcons a bit, and now it's easily the fastest bike I've ever owned (though previously it's only been mountain bikes and hybrids).
