1971 Gitane Super Corsa 19"/50cm

*****SOLD*****
I have a Gitane Super Corsa for sale. 50cm c-t frame.
Campy NR components.
MAFAC Competition brakes.
JPR fluted seatpost,
Henri Gauthier saddle.
Campy Suerleggera pedals.
Sew-up wheels with worn tires.

I took it all down, greased headset, BB, hubs. The races and cones show minimal wear. You can see on the pic of the chainring that the mill marks on the teeth are still there. The front derailleur cage has just a whisper of wear. There is no toestrap wear on the crank arms. Rear derailleur is Patent 70. The paint is sort of tired on the entire frame. The head lug picture shows what it looks like. That sort of wear and surface rust is on entire bike. Pedals, Saddle, and seatpost were added by me.

So basically the Campy bits are just about new. There are some surface scratches on the 52 tooth chainring. The headset and BB are clean no pitting. Derailleurs and cranks fantastic. Brake pads are worn, as are the brake hoods. If you wanted to build up a french frame this bike could supply you with all the parts. The frame shows lots of scratches and the paint is tired. Decals are all there but most are faded. The top tube Service Course deals is worn away. Decals on the chainstays are worn away. No chainstay chain slapping marks to speak of.

Heres where I stand on this bike.
$575 for the entire bike as it sits.
$500 minus the pedals.
$425 minus pedals and wheels.
Shipping xtra.

This is sweet; I'm glad it's not my size because I've really blown a hole in my bike budget this year . . . . .

What is the top tube C-C? Length of stem?

Do you have more pictures?

Heading out to Montana any time soon?

My wife and I have a composed pair of white TdF's ('73 and '70 respectively). This would fit my daughter...

I have two 1971 Gitane bikes: 1 is a TdF I bought new, the other a SC garage queen w/Campy brakes, too.

These are wonderful riders, although I can't speak to this frame size. I got no one for this, but if it fits, this is a fine bike!
