Nice thread, nice build. I still have, and am using, 1050 crank set, both derailleurs and brake calipers. They are on my Ochsner as original when I bought it new in '92. I am using them with 4600 Tiagra flat bar shifters and Microshift 10 speed, 11-32 cassette. A generous act by @C9H13N, that I am sure is much appreciated.

It does look kinda sexy, indeed. I think the black tires compliment the chromed parts nicely. Maybe I'll put on a black saddle and tape in the future.
