WTB Campy Tipo HF hub front cone
Hello, I need a cone for a Nuovo Tip high flange front hub. I understand you can use Record cones as well, so would consider that too. Please reach out if you have an extra. Thanks!

How can one tell the difference between record and tipo cones? (presumably similar front/rear threading as record, if they’re interchangeable)

I just found a record cone to replace the tipo cone, so I might have solved my issue. Record cone's body is darker and bearing surface appears more polished.

Locating a tipo lone cone… by luck. The Record will have a shallower raceway fillet (larger radius) as the radius of the ball bearings is just that much more larger.
‘Can you get away with it? Probably, might effect the overall overlock width, test with a dish gauge. Or, use two Record cones.
barring that, a lone complete tipo front hub might be the most straight choice to get it original.
