Bikes: LESS than I did a year ago!

1981 AD Vent Noir II - Pics

Alright...I posted one pic in the "What Arrived" thread...and promised some more...so here you go...these are "as arrived"...working on cleaning now...

Short test ride results...smooth, quick, not as comfortable as some bikes...but...oh...looking forward to a 10 or 20 miler next weekend...

Alright...that ought to tease you enough...

Very nice! Not too happy with that saddle for that bike though. It looks a tad heavy IMO.

Bikes: 1978 Trek TX700; 1978/79 Trek 736; 1984 Specialized Stumpjumper Sport; 1984 Schwinn Voyageur SP; 1985 Trek 620; 1985 Trek 720; 1986 Trek 400 Elance; 1987 Schwinn High Sierra; 1990 Miyata 1000LT

Those are such cool looking bikes, but I'm not the audience for this bike- no eyelets, and the chainstays are too short

That's going to clean up VERY nicely.

Bikes: 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo; 1960 Capo Sieger (2); 1962 Carlton Franco Suisse; 1970 Peugeot UO-8; 1982 Bianchi Campione d'Italia; 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10;

A true grail bike for those of us who are into Austrian frames, even though mine are from the little company in Vienna instead of the big company in Graz.

I would be curious to know the VN's frame geometry, to compare to my Bianchi of the same vintage.

Always loved those smoked chrome frames.
Say…did these come with brakes other than Record?

Real nice bike. Careful cleaning that finish.

Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

Is the finish similar/the sme as Chromavelato (tinted clear paint over chrome), or is the smoke actually in the chrome itself??
