I don't think it is using up a hall pass, but a slight shift in domestic policy. She asked me what I would use it for...I said it would have no unique purpose other than fun club rides sharing duty with other bikes that have that purpose and still she said if the price was rigjt and I could get a deal than I was free to do what I want.

I am not sure I see a bad paint job...just a funky one, though I no expert

Credibility is enhanced by making some serious coin on a variety of bikes, to the point of welcoming the next purchase. I know Jim has done a lot better than me over the years so I can only imagine the credibility he has on a bike purchase.

On keeper additions, it helps to let one go now and then. Don't let bikes adversely affect lifestyle. If $$ spent on bikes is getting in the way of life (like missing out on a vacation), time to let a few of them go.
