Serotta Atlanta

Hey Guys,

Just got a Serotta Atlanta from the LBS, these guys HATE steel bikes. More or less I walk in and they hand me the frame set, "here, You like these old steel bikes"....take it. So i did. It's my size too. 58cm CTC for seat tube and top tube.

It's a shame that Ben Serotta could not find a way to keep making bicycles. He was probably the most prolific builder of frames made in the USA for 20-30 years.

I can't wait to see how you build it up.

Was the "Atlanta" model made in conjunction with the '96 Olympics? Great paint scheme and nice "gift!" 130mm rear spacing?

I've seen your stash of "outdated" components. It's the LBS that just keeps on giving!

Yes you will like it. I have 2 Atlantas. 1 with a steel fork and 10 speed Ultegra. 1 with a carbon fork and 10 speed Record/Chorus. . I vote for 10 speed Campy. I believe the catalog shows it with alloy Campy. Nice grab.
