Bikes: Still a garage full

April 24, 2016 for the Ann Arbor Show. If you need items like NOS Huret cable clamps, cable guides, and other esoteric hardware, the prices can be very good. OEM Schwinn decals too. And of course, da bikes and frames.

Ann Arbor Classic Bicycle Show

I picked up a Motobecane Grand Touring 3 years ago and last year a green Raleigh SC MK II in good condition.

Hey, you got me in that last one! (Bearded guy checking out the Peugeot.)

Nice pictures, and I had a good time. It's kinda freeing not really "needing" much these days -- you can just stroll around and look at the cool stuff. Bought some shoes, a cycling cap, a chainring.

Always great running into bike-nerd friends that I rarely see otherwise.

i went there with the goal of finding a new frame for my wife (just had her colnago stolen) and i saw a rusty naked metal frame, but didn't stop to look... didn't think much of it... till i saw a guy carrying it around.

i stopped and asked.... it was a custom cinelli with drill drop out and BB... beautiful frame and it would have been perfect for our needs... i asked him how much he got it for and he said $100!!!! I offered him 200 on the spot... nope... then i offered him the Pinnerello frame (bought here from Sloar) i was hoping to trade... nope... then i offered him the pinner and cash... stilll nope....

kicking myself for not stopping to look at it...

Bikes: they change so much I'm tired of updating this

I'm going to try and make it to Ann Arbor this year. I've got a couple buddies that won't shut up about it.

Indianapolis swap meet was pretty good. there were a lot of deals to be had... I'd say there were 100 vendors, way less commercial that chicago (which was mostly bike shops getting rid of old stock)

the deal of the day was a PX10 for 250 that went unsold (see picts)

ALSO bonus stupidly named bike HUGESACK nice

got a Gios torino campy crank set for CHEAP picts of the loot will follow

I'm assuming that table with the blue cloth was yours - just happened to be able to make out the Scapin. I see the decals went on fine - did it sell?

Looking forward to the pics of your loot! Our swap is next Sunday

Bump! I haven't been yet, perhaps this year, depending on work.

All kinds of bikes, from vintage BMX to local bike shops like TREK store, Bike Source and Performance Bike. Good showing last year, should be better this year.
