Not 100% sure of the year but it does have Universal 61 centerpulls and the non drive side crank arm has the raised pedal lip. Drive side crank probably cracked as it is newer(no raised lip).

Here are some pictures. Anyone else, including the OP have any Ideor pics?

I just purchsed an Ideor in rough condition yesterday. It is number 347138 , just four frames later than Retyred's 61?
Bikernunzio, would you mind if I add your catalog scan to my Ideor page?

You can see my Ideor hereIdeor Asso

Hi. Orange Tango here. Just purchased the Ideor Special frame and fork from Bikernunzio. I owned one of these beauties when I was 15 (now 60). Loved it then. Love it now. Was an all chrome beast. Am going to restore this one to 100% OEM (one way or the other). Did you have any luck with decals?

Fat Tire Trader,

thank you for posting your example. iirc it is first one have seen to use this bocama (also sold as milremo) crown. the number on the shell is one put in by a licensing agency (local government). up until 1977 in the state of california each city had its own system for licensing bicycles. the six pointed star symbol indicates the city. there were hundreds of these different symbols, each for a different municipality. in 1977 the state of california went to a statewide system for the licensing of bicycles.

visited shop when it was going in the 1980's. iirc we discussed your two vintage espresso machines.

Not sure who Orangetango is, but this person did not purchase an Ideor from me. Makes me a little uncomfortable to see this.

I stand corrected. Turns out seller had used the pic you have on this site. The serial number for the frame and fork I bought is about a hundred digits lower than yours.

Recently came upon the first juvenile Ideor I have seen. Began a thread on it here:

Looking for good photos of an Ideor Asso Professional

Very nice decals _us. We have a 20" Ideor folder that my wife got 50 years ago. Those decals are barely there but look just like yours. I'll ask SWMBO if she wants new ones. Thanks for creating these. I'm sure the market is really small so you've done us a service.

Ideor Asso serial numbers

Is there a guide, or has someone deciphered, Ideor Asso Serial numbers? I have number 344254 and am curious as to its date of manufacture. I think it may be 1959 or 1960.

I just purchased an Ideor locally that has virtually the identical serial number as Jim's, 34425x.

Few original parts since this bike was used for a series of Death Rides, with plenty of training miles as well. The original headset and large-flange hubs seem to be still on board, with date code 1960 on the locknuts.
Paint is what it is, lugs and fork ends have been repainted with a brush and spray, but the white paint looks older. Headbadge, lugs and stays repainted red.
Spaced at 120mm, drivetrain is a 3X5. No mention of the seatpost in those catalogs, but this one has an alloy Record post.
Geometry is 74+ degrees seattube and 72 degrees headtube on this 56cm example.

Have always been curious about the presence of the griffone in the Ideor emblem.

Dug into the coat-of-arms/family crest for the house of Torello hoping it would be there.

Alas, the critter thither is a bull.

Since the operation was based in Savona, decided to check there as well...

the crest for Savona shows a black eagle with wings spread -

so then thought about Liguria since this is the province where Savona situated.

four six pointed stars and no beastie -

Perhaps another reader will have some ideas...anyone gifted in heraldry?
