Do me the honor of identifying this head badge

On a older brass badge like this I would clean polish it up and repaint it wouldn't take a lot of work to get it to look like new. Your probably not going to be able to find something to match a pre 40's Standard badge new or nos.

Looks like a Standard to me.

Might you have a picture of what it looks like painted?

There is a place on line called Bicycle Heaven that appears to make reproduction head badges. I am not connected to them in any way, nor do I have any experience with them. May be worth looking into.

Welcome to Bicycle Heaven

My guess would also be standard. The colour of the brass and specific angle of the chamfers around the edges are a dead giveaway... as is the word 'STANDARD' under the stylized S. :D

Very unlikely that this is related to the contemporary Standard Byke Co who manufacture BMXs and stuff.

I'm going to move this thread from Appraisals to regular Classic & Vintage so more members may see it.

Well yea lol, I just cant find a picture of the head badge anywhere, to look at how I should paint it.

The OP's first post with a photo of the subject head badge seems to have disappeared.

EDIT - Found it; looks like it got hung out to dry.

Weird.

I'm guessing the OP would have better luck identifying the head badge on The Classic and Antique Bicycle Exchange forum.
