Faggin Garage Sale Find
I stumbled across this neglected Faggin at a local High School 'garage sale' for $15.00 and claimed it as fast as I could along with a few other bicycles I'll share soon.
I'm not sure what to make of it other than that it is Italian, has some Campagnolo parts, and a few Shimano as well so I can only assume that someone has modded this bicycle at some point.
I'm excited to have this bicycle in my house and am itching to know more about it. Hopefully one of you knowledgeable persons can help me learn about my new bicycle. Thanks!
Here is a link to an album with 12 images of the bicycle.

I saw one at a garage sale by the female owner about 10yrs ago. She was quick to point out the correct pronunciation as well as the price. Couldnt get it lower than 600.00. I cant recall the model or details. You got a steal.

Bikes: Lots of French, some British and a couple of Italian
If you speak Italian, call them in Italy, very helpful. Not very fast, but very helpful...
Great find, congrats.
Anyone have any idea why they're not listed as a 'classic' on classic rendezvous? They have a few palmares in their cupboard.

Looks to be a mid 80s mid level with the Tretubi tubing, Gipieme dropouts and the Triomphe groupset (sans levers) little rough around the edges but definitely worth the what you got it for. Chalk that one up as a score. What's the other bikes you picked up?

Owned a similar one, except mine had Suntour parts. TreTubi rides really nice. This bike was a ton of fun - would have kept it if it wasn't too small.

That's exactly what I wanted to say.
I wonder why the most durable of parts, the brake levers were replaced yet the Campy brake pads are practically new. And I love Victory/Triomphe cranksets. They're so unique.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.
Fifteen bucks for that? I hope you at least tried to talk them down a bit.
But seriously, on eBay you could probably get $15 for the crank dustcaps. Each.

Hey thanks for all the information everyone. Sorry about the poor quality of my previous pictures. I'm uploading a few more that I took with a better camera. Does anyone have any idea what pedals this bike would have originally had on it?
@MiloFrance Interesting Idea! I do not speak Italian unfortunately but I hadn't thought of just calling Faggin. Maybe I can find a friend who does speak Italian.
@Henry III I also managed to grab a Record du Monde Peugeot mixte missing its stem, seatpost, and sporting a few badly rusted components and a fairly well taken care of Centurion. Hm, so I need Triomphe brake levers to get this bike back to looking like it should.

What a great find! Great looking bike - interesting name though!
Enjoy the ride! It looks to be in great shape too!
That's the thing about garage sales, estate sales, Craigslist, etc... you never know what you'll find!
