1969 Superbe

A fairly new to me Superbe. I went though the bicycle overhauled rear hub. New chain, 17t rear cog, tires & tubes, rim strips, brake pads & cable wires. Plus a good clean up good enough for me. Now she is riding nice. I almost forgot how nice riding these vintage 3 speeds can be.

Sweet! I had a '63 Superbe and loved it until the crankarm snapped while I was climbing a hill. Then I left it unlocked for three months in front of my apartment building and it got stole

Does the dynamo and light work on yours?

Thanks
The lights & dynamo work. However I pulled the bulbs out of the lights for another Superbe.

From: Illinois

Bikes: 1968 DL-1 / 1963 Rudge Sport / 1955 Raleigh Superbe / 1951 CWS / 1948 CWS

Nice! I picked up the twin to yours last year. The original owner backed into it in his garage and bent the down tube beyond repair. I stripped it for parts and scrapped the frame. That makes your bike, one bike closer to rare.

I picked up a his and hers deal. Two Superbe,s for the price of one the condition is about the same on both. I cherry picked parts between both bikes. The rear rack, fender & seat on the men's are off the mixte. It was just for cosmetic reasons one rack had more scratches than the other same with the fender So far so good I will build up the mixte for my wife Since the Superbes's are both 1969 models no harm no foul I can live with the original seat but my wife wants a new brooks I just need to find the time to get the mixte up and running So far the mixte has been a great parts locker

You found a nice parts Superbe Maybe you can find a nice frame
Good Luck
