Silca Frame Pump

Hello,

Yesterday I noticed my Silca frame pump is no longer holding any pressure. I believe it to be the gasket that has deteriorated to the point where it is no longer holding air. Any knowledge of where to get a replacement part and what part I need? Sorry I don't have any pictures right now, I can provide them later this evening if need though.

Thanks!

Step 1. Oil pump leather.

There are three "gaskets".

Presta valve grommet.

Pump body to head

Plunger leather.

The pump body to head is the easiest to review, unscrew the head and visually inspect. They can be bought or fabricated from hardware store materials. While the head is off ( and the metal sleeve if so equipped) place a thumb over the end and attempt to pump, if no pressure is felt it might be the plunger leather, minor chance it is the pump body, I have had a few fail there in the last year. Them its JB weld time. Usually the leather can be redeemed, with some new lubrication and manipulation of the leather.
If the pump head grommet is gone, that can be a more challenging part to source, often a new head is needed. Then you need to know what thread type you have, they did evolve.
