I'm always amazed at how many new threads there are in the C&V forum. Is there some way to actually be notified by email or RSS feed or something what the new threads are?

I see a "subscribe to this forum" choice, so maybe. Go to Classic & Vintage and down a bit on the page, above the list of threads, there is a link marked "Forum tools". Drop that menu down and try the "subscribe to this forum" choice. Let us know how it works.

Thanks for the hint Tom. Hmmm... My Forum Tools menu has "Unsubscribe from this forum", which I totally missed. I guess I'm subscribed but it's not sending me any emails about new threads. Thinking I must have something set wrong, I went to my settings editor https://www.bikeforums.net/profile.php?do=editoptions but only saw information about getting email for subscribed threads. Nothing about emails for subscribed forums.

My strategy is to check up on threads to see if something interests me most days.

Hmm, I didn't know you could subscribe to a forum until just now. I'm gonna try it and see what happens.

I accidentally had some kind of notifications, not sure how.
Then they went away, not sure why.
Now I just stumble through.

It's actually quite of a PITA as you get notifications like every second of the day. Gets old fast.

I'd rather hit the 'd' key more than miss all the new threads. In addition, a mail a day listing the new threads would probably be sufficient.

Aha! Thanks for the tip. That gave me the clue I needed. If I pop up to the "Bike Forums" level, there is an RSS link for the C&V forum. I added that to my Inoreader setup (which I am in all the time).

Didn't get anything in my email, so I cancelled it. Probably for the best.
