World Sport is whole again

It's a bit of a Frankenbike but my World Sport is whole again. I picked it up in pretty decent original condition last summer with the intent of using it on the trainer. Well the darn thing was so comfortable and fun to ride that I started fixing it up with parts I had around the shop. Here is a list of what ended up on the bike. Most were items I had laying around the shop from various projects and salvages.

- Drop bars and stem from a vintage Miyata (higher end model)
- Tektro brake levers
- RX100 dual pivot brakes
- Wheelset: Mavic CXP22 on entry level Shimano hubs
- Vintage 7sp DuraAce triple crankset with Octalink BB
- Exage 300 long cage RD
- Bontrager H2 tires 700 x 28

The RX100 brakes had enough reach that I could go from the old 27" wheels to the 700c set leftover when I upgraded my road bike. The only new parts I had to buy were a 7-speed cassette, chain, bar tape, brake pads, and cables (I had enough cable housing laying around to do the job).

It rides pretty well and looks good. Lots of room for cushier tires if I want when these wear out. It will still probably be my trainer bike this winter, but it'll make a great Plan B bike the rest of the year. I'll post a picture if I get a chance tomorrow.

You call it a frankenbike and I call it a higher spec'd bike than any WS coming out of the plant.
