Normandy hub replacement parts

I have a front QR Normandy hub that needs a new cone. I bought a bolt on hub off ebay that would have what I need except it has a different diameter axle . All the parts on the original hub are good except one cone has dent on the bearing contact area. The axle is a QR, 105mm long, 8mm dia. In another post I read that a campy axle and cone set would work, I looked on ebay but there arent any axles the correct length. Any suggestions on where I could find the neccessary parts? Thanks.

Julian,

Could you not just replace the cone? I have no idea where you live, but if there's a bicycle shop nearby that's been in business for 20+ years, go there, tell them your situation, and see if they can't help you.

I went to my local bike shop and when I said Normandy, he laughed at me but went through about 20 old hubs he had but didnt come up with anything he thought would work. I went to a second one and he looked through his parts bikes and spares but didn't come up with anything for me. I see Harris sells the whole hub but 50 dollars is a bit much just to get a cone out of it. I'll email them to see if they have any spare cones. loosescrews.com is awesome, thanks for the link!

Look here for Campy NR/SR cones:

I bought the axel and cones for my front hub and cones only for the rear. I haven't tried them yet, so I can't verify that Campy cones work in Normandy hubs.

I have a pretty good stock of new and used normandy/maillard parts. If you only need one cone, I can send you a used one in excellent condition with no pitting for the cost of shipping. I also have some maillard NOS QR front axels with cones if you want to buy one.

Other sources are Yellow Jersey in Madision WI. They have some NOS maillard hubs that are a bit pricey at $20 if you only need the cones. They also offer an asian substitute which is close but requires a bit of attention to spacing.

Ebay is also a great source for Normandy stuff.

Email me if interested in that cone.
