Aren't all blogs pretentious by nature? maybe not.
I'm with you on the mud thing. Could it be fad-ish?
Kind of like extra dark roast (ruined) coffee?

It's hip…ya know….

Of course, tastes vary….

I have many T shirts from prior to the 90's that are size large.
Now, a large drowns me.
maybe I'm shrinking.

Well, mine is past-tense. Lately, have been doing less riding and more considering what to do with projects - so that is sort of like the 1-1-1 that you have. Nobody will ever accuse me of having musical talent though.

There ya go. It's those durned hipsters' doing. When enough of them move out of their parents' houses, there might be a lot of sweet (off topic) machines on the market. :innocent:

Maybe? My primary hobbies/interests are cycling (sport), listening to and playing music (art), mechanical engineering (intellectual thing - or at least practical application of intellectual things). Plenty else to catch my sometimes fleeting attention, but those are the big three.

I'd be interested in hearing impressions of the symphony after you see/hear it, icepick. I need to make it a point to see more.

I haven't noticed that large shirts are big on you, but they've gotten really big on me, too. All of my pants are too big now, too. About a year ago, I decided to lose weight for the first time. I never really struggled with my weight, but I realized I ought to lose 10 pounds. I've been riding more lately, and that trend continues, so there's that. And I've been eating better. And now I find I've lost 20 pounds. I didn't even know I had 20 pounds to lose. I'm not complaining about my body, but I'm a little annoyed that I have to replace most of my clothes now. I look pretty silly with all these giant clothes on me.

Me too. Good classical concerts are a bit hard to come by here. And I loathe going into Boston.
But hearing more live concerts would be a good resolution. We do have an orchestra here.

I agree with all of what you said about Brahms's first. He took his work so seriously that he wrote less than he might have, with such high standards for himself. But what he left us was all gems, truly great work, and great is an often-abused word. I mean it here.

5 years ago today we brought home a 10 week old puppy named Jackson. He doesn't do much but sit around and look cute, but he's very good at it.

As you can see, freckles run in the family. I asked him who he was voting for in the next presidential election, he's still pondering it. He likes to eat, more than we want to feed him.

Which one is that. A hundred years ago, I used to sing under the guy who is now conductor of the Plymouth Symphony, named Steven Karidoyanes. It's not exactly close, but the trip would be worth your while. Tell him I sent you.

I wonder why that is and if it says anything.

I am not a Linux expert, though I did install it on a Mac once, in the mid 90s. But I am a choral singer. I currently sing with the Georgetown Bach Chorale, (Georgetown Ontario). It is a chamber choir, specializing in earlier works but not exclusively. We are prepping for two upcoming concerts, one with Bach Chorales, another with a local orchestra doing Beethoven's 9th. Georgetown Bachchorale | The best in classical vocal performances presented in beautiful venues, you can find some clips there of past concerts if you are interested.

If it was me, recurve. I still regret that when I went away to university and needed money, my mom sold my takedown recurve. I've never owned a compound bow, but I have shot them.

Yes, gugie's dog Jackson is a good boy. Very sweet.

I'm knee deep in continuing education for my professional association that I'm obliged to belong to if I wish to practice. Fortunately I can go to one site, pay $99/year and get unlimited qualifying seminars. I get to take an exam after each course just to make sure I paid attention.

You're probably the same size - clothing sizing has inflated as Americans have. An Esquire writer measured men's size 36 pants, and found they ran 36 - 41 inches! A Misses size 12 in 1958 became a size 4 when the standards were changed in 1995.

So is my daughter going to hit it big as a bass player or a drummer?
