Columbus SLX Frame identification and sizing

Hi I'm looking for help in identifying this frame/bike. What I know so far is it is a custom frame built by Rick Weiler somewhere in Michigan. I love the look of the frame and want it to fit me but I'm not sure I can make it work. The frame dimensions are as follows.
Seat tube- 60cm
top tube- 55cm
stand over 33in
Head tube 21.5cm This includes the bearings... Not sure if i should include them in the measurement.

I ride a 58 road bike normally. Also not sure what year it is. any suggestions? It has all dura ace components except that the hubs were relaced with mavic wheels and the crank is an ultegra. Trying to decide if its worth dumping more money into to try to make it fit with different stems and seat posts or if I should cut my losses and sell it or hang it on my office wall.
Thanks in advance for any advice,

Looks nice to me.
Provided you can stand over the bike 2 cm more of seat tube length is unimportant.
The top tube length may be an issue but a longer stem (it looks like it already has a long one so you may already be in good shape) can compensate for that. Likewise you can add some additional reach if needed by handle bar selection.
I'd certainly try the bike out for a while before selling it.

Agreed, 2 cm isn't a deal breaker, the seat post length won't even look awkward. Nice score! Stem is longish, might compensate for short top tube, but I would think you probably don't need to go too far in either direction to fit. Why would you need to change seat post?

I'd definitely give it a try before you decide.

Cheers, Eric

Love the bike, nice find, it will be a real looker with a little TLC. When you get the fit settled (should be easy if you ride 58) I would definitely leave the seat post, change the bulbous Syncros stem out, and obviously use a longer rear brake cable. You will get "oohs and awes" at our local Starbucks.
Head tube length is w/o bearings, just the frame.

SLX was most popular in the mid-to-late eighties and the braze-ons and components would appear to be about the same timeframe. How many cogs on the freewheel/cassette? What's the rear dropout spacing?

The short top tube length relative to the seat tube length would seem to indicate the rider the frame was built for had longer legs and a shorter torso than average (like me).

I needed a longer post so that one is out. Bummer cause its a nice Campagnolo post but just a bit too short. For now I stole one off another bike but I'd like to find another period correct one. Changed the stem out for a shorter one and rewrapped the bars. Hoping to get my first long ride in on it tomorrow. I'm excited it fits although it is a much more aggressive riding position than I'm used to. Thanks for all the input. Its a uniglide Dura ace 7 speed rear cassette and is a 12-20. Rear dropout is 130mm.
