EDIT @gugie: If you could keep me in rotation for the next round I'd appreciate it. :)

You're back into the rotation, thanks!

@MZilliox Did it land? (I guess old habits do die hard)

I will note that USPS has been busy. We were out walking yesterday and saw their delivery trucks a few times. One had its back door up. It looked like everything was from Amazon. Ellen commented, "I think Amazon is keeping them in business." I find it hard to disagree with that sentiment.

Especially with the Sunday delivery contract Amazon now has with the USPS.

Last thing I saw on tracking was an attempted delivery, no safe place to leave package, notice left. That was on the 26th.

It's the holidays, could very well be travelling. Let's give it some time.

Hey guys, Got the box last night. I don't get things delivered to my house, I have to go pick up in town at the PO, so yes, tracking would have showed a saturday delivery, but i can't pick that up till 10am the next monday. so sheesh, sorry! haha

You guys aren't kidding, its a serious box of crap. I almost just closed it up and sent it along, but one can always use a black saddle for flips. and I have some shimano 600 parts on a beater bike, im sure it'd appreciate some more 600 love. I'll get it sent out today or tomorrow.

Just post when you ship it so I can update...

The nice thing about saddle is they take up a goodly amount of room...

Er, why would I know that?

That RD may or may not be complete and functional, and the jockey wheels came off a 600 Arabesque. Because CRAP! :thumb:

Don't most if not all packages get tracking numbers from the USPS? Given the history of black pot holes the box has fallen into in the past, it may be beneficial to those of us watching to post the tracking number after we ship. We could watch and track the box, and may help ease some nerves.

Just a thought.

mountaindave 12-30-15 01:35 PM

All flat rate boxes get tracking numbers.

Like he said. I don't want to add onto the multitude of rules we already have. Posting the tracking number here means anyone can look it up, and although it only shows the shipment and delivery cities, posting your location is optional, and some would rather not do that. Of course, one has to PM the sender with an address, but that's a 1:1 communication.

All that said, the sender can always help out by tracking and posting here if the package was delivered or not without adding the tracking number to the thread.

The Crapmaster has adjudicated! The cats shall obey!

Or not...

mountaindave 12-30-15 02:55 PM

No need to add rules. If we stick to the "post when sent" rule, it should arrive within three business days. That's also standard for flat rate boxes.

Personally, when someone sends me their ship-to address, I feel it is common courtesy to reply with the tracking number. But that's just personal preference, not a rule suggestion. ;)

The Dave abides.

The crapmaster is truly wise, considering what I did not. This is why you are the crapmaster and I am not.

I shall obey.
