Still working on the '80 Super Course, plan to return it's long lost Reynolds decal to it.
In '80 the main frame (At least) was butted 531, takes a 27.2 seatpost.

1: Finished my wife`s Schwinn Le Tour Luxe but for the bar tap I am waiting for her to pick out.
2: I bought some new tires for my Miyata 912. I am not sure I like the tan sidewalls? I think I should have went all black, it don`t look mean anymore. (one day maybe, I am going to shorten the brake cable housing)
3: I added an ugly compact crank set and Ritchey pedals to my Crosspoint for function over style.
Ready for spring!!

Working on rebuilding this old Shogun 300 as something of a go-fast road bike (compared to my others, anyway). Trying to stick to a low budget, and I've found myself being given some nice parts for free, along with finding some good deals on others. Waiting on a few things to come in (and a friend to bring me the 9-speed Ultegra levers and front derailleur he offered me).
The seatpost, saddle, and wheels shown in the last picture are placeholders...I'll be building wheels with black CR18s around a pair of Formula hubs (in the box), and I plan to go with the largest 700C tires that will fit the frame...there's clearance for at least a 42mm tire, I think even with fenders!

I think the only stock parts left on when I'm done will be the frame, fork, and the chainstay cable stop!

Man, that is one of the prettiest Colnagos I've seen. Love the way the head tube decal and bar tape jive in the one pic.

+1 I never would have looked if you hadn't said that. Several of the Shogun headbadges are nicely done.

Of course southpawboston did a great job painting one of his:

C & V-wise, less a winter project than a weather's to lousy and everything else is up to date project,. Acquired a 27 1/2 Raleigh GP ages ago & a 27 inch 3-speed Sturmey-Archer wheelset last spring. Got a kick out of riding the 3 speeds I've flipped figured I'd put together one that I would fit. If you really want to see a picture of a GP I could do so.
Just finished the non-bike C & V winter project, trimmed down a set of 79mm 3-pin cross country boots to fit 75mm bindings, size 14 if wondering. Had our first snow last Friday, 4 inches or so & mostly melted already. Forcast for tomorrow is 4 to 12, only working 2 days this week might get to try them.

Bikes: I have some bikes
I really like the looks of that Le Tour Luxe. The condition and color are great, and the logo lettering seems to be different from every other year. I have an '83 Traveler with the same lettering style, and I'm fond of the looks and ride quality as well.

Finally got my decal set and this Huffy Pro Thunder BMX is now complete..........

Now I will move on to the Huffy Beach Cruiser project and try to get it done before spring. Gonna chop it, drop it, and stretch it and make a pretty sweet cruiser out of it.......

Very nice job, love the swift on this build. Ride in good health, she's a beaut! Oh, one interesting aside about my Super; it has turned out to be a fantastic bike for smooth gravel and paths with new rims laced onto the SR hubs and shod with 28mm Parigi-Roubaix tires. Handles like a dream and really absorbs the rumble, but I limit how much of that I do lest I break something Campy SR and hard to find. I love that these bikes, although race-bred in their day, could handle tires well into the 30s. Try yours off road with some bigger tires, you might be surprised how good it goes!

Hmmm, haven't thought about 28mm tires. Maybe mine will fit them?
