Recommend a seatpost?

I'm looking for a 26.4mm seatpost that's more finely adjustable than the typical Laprade style, but the only thing I know of that meets the criteria is a zero-setback two-bolt post. While I don't mind the two-bolt aspect, I'd like something with setback. Is there anything out there, maybe an older one that's not too hard to track down?

A quick search on eBay for 26.4mm seat post came up with at least 6 items. Look for Campy 2 bolt or Simplex seatposts. They are getting "spendy". Zeus made 2 bolt seatposts too. SR made several styles - 2 bolt and this Simplex knockoff.

the campy two-bolt styles have setback, but they're pricey. i sold one in that size this week on craigs for $60.

the one-bolt kalloy types on ebay are less than $16.

i've never needed more positions than the one-bolt styles like the laprade offer. and i've found them much easier to position than the vintage campy record two-bolt design. but the campy ones are so much more posh.

there's also a s600 seatpost on ebay, but it's a one-bolt, like the laprade.

Get a single bolt Kalloy - cheap, infinitely adjustable, easy on the wallet and eyes too. I've had one on the Ciocc for several years and it works great.

This one has huge adjust-ability, plus can be done via quick-release. The size would need some sanding down? and the weight might be a problem but adjustable it is....

I always recommend the JPR (J. P. Routens) micro adjust two bolt seatpost. The two bolt pivoting mechanism provides the finest angle adjustment like you see on zero setback seaposts, but the JPR has the typical setback needed on road bikes. Enough of them pop up at eBay that it shouldn't take too long for a good priced 26.4 to come up for sale (The one in there right now is way overpriced).
The clamp on the JPR also clamps nice and tight, I never had saddle rails slip on them, plus the angle adjustment cannot slip either like many serrated pivot single bolt designs tend to.

I have one of these on another bike, but as far as I know, they're only available in 27.2mm diameter....

I'm a fan of the Campy two bolt. Razor sharp eyes can still get you deals on them. Just scored one on eBay for a reasonable price. And, they look cool.

There are a bunch of 26.4 MKE-100 posts out there. I think that was a popular MTB size years ago. I have one of those post (that size) which I got for its huge possible setback. The clamp sits on a rail so it can be slid from around 25 mm (normal setback) to around 85mm (enormous!) The posts are not light, look pretty funky and interfere with hanging toolbags, but there is a real place for them. (And they are well made. I suspect most made are still around.) I replaced the quick release with a bolt. Cleaner, lighter and the seat is now not easy-off into the hands of whoever.

My JPR seatpost broke, at one of the bolt locations. Fortunately I was just coming up my driveway and going about 2 mph.

I think that those SR seatposts were designed for use on track bikes. They weren't that common and I'd heard that they had a bad reputation for breaking on road and MTBs.

I had one with out the clamp mechanism that I gave away.
