yep, that's exactly what it is. I have my doubts as to whether these could actually take a hit though, usually skids are wide at base for stability with a much sharper angle to deflect an impact; these look like they'd just bottom the bike out.

I can't recall the name but there was a BMX bike with this as well. Was mid or less on the food chain IIRC.
