Whenever I bought a gumball as a youngster, I'd see Beaver Thanks You on the metal door you open to fetch your gumball. There was an embossed figure of a beaver. That must have been the name of the vending company. Anyway, your post reminded me of that. So, Beaver says you're welcome.

I'm not sure what it's short for. I was inebriated when I came up with that. Root beer sounds good though. Thanks.
