gotta love that! Too bad about its condition.
As a Raleigh fan, I've got a stained glass version of the Raleigh logo (along with a back light that I need to work on a bit)..

I am in TN and considered but no time to get to and heading home today. The is also a nice Cilo on offer up or Letgo for $100.:-)
Here is the scoop. He received from an older friend whose dad owned a bike shop in the 60s, it closed in the 70s. They sold Raleigh and this was on the wall in the shop. The shop was n Houston Tx. but they moved to TN and opened a ceramic business that he lives across from. It was one of the only items they brought from the shop. The TN business burned and the sign was in the back and survived. The owner moved a few items from business to guys garage and said take whatever you want after it sat for some time. He plans to split sale with guy though. The guy selling is probably early thirties and tried to research but it is pretty unique. I wanted to but forgot to get shop and orig owner name.
I asked about material. He said the sign is wood but only weighs about 15 lbs. Seems light so probably over foam or some other material. Im sure someone here should know. I asked about rotting and there is none. Its coated with some epoxy type stuff and paint is over the coating. It may be easy to clean up but I did not see in person. Here are pics. Looks well worth it to me, I bet you could find a way for him to ship. Seems like a reàsonable guy.

Heck!, any dyed in the wool C&V Raleigh fan would be willing to pay more than a couple of hundred bucks just to own it!

Keener splendor
If that were local, I'd pick it up, too.
In searching ebay, someone should pick this one up, maybe @mountaindave or @The Golden Boy ?
