Really? I don't recall them being anywhere near that powerful. Maybe you're thinking of the later LeMans CX100 which had an additional 100-150CC?

Fixing a rear flat is a pain. They also need an eccentric BB and a split frame to go around the chain stay. (Belt stay.)
You need the BB tool to loosen the BB to get the axle back in the vertical dropout. A chain is easier and more efficient too. Belts and belt pulleys wear as well, You may have a hard time getting one.

And the turn signal even does half the work by turning itself off for you.
What's so hard about it???
My 1st car (in high school) had been a gift from an elderly Aunt who gave up driving because of illness. It was a 1950 Ford (it wasn't that old back then), and did not come with turn signals, but had an add-on turn signal device sold and installed through Sears and Roebuck.

It's taken a bit of practice... but I am getting to where I only occasionally forget to signal my intention to turn.

Well, the one I got is not a Gates. It has track ends with tensioners, and a standard size timing belt, and the pulleys go on standard BCD's and splines. It seems pretty replaceable. I don't have the gearing options I want, to take the whole system down a big shift, but other than that it seems solid.

That sounds a lot better. Have you taken the rear wheel off and on yet?

Gates says you have to re-tension the belt every time you take it off. That means the little tool is needed. With the vertical drop out it's too hard to get the axle up into the dropouts you need to loosen that adjuster, put the axle in and tighten the belt again. You should take your wheel off at home just to see what you need to do on the road if you get a flat.

I put 100 pounds of air in my tire,
but the wheel only weighs five pounds.

Where did it all go?

The answer in the movie is, "Try to get across on a chicken and you'll know why a duck." I had that script virtually memorized at about age 10.

You can't trust a turn signal here; if it's on at all, it's likely the driver is unaware of it. We also hit the gas and the horn when approaching a collision. Why is that?

That's actually 100 pounds per square inch. Since you end up with only 5 pounds your tire must have only 0.05 square inches.

Why is weight on the saddle, less than weight on the wheels?
