Which one did you end up with, lostarchitect?

I love this, inkandsilver. It inspires me. I'm not telling what I'm thinking yet.

Beautiful. Gives me ideas for the old Trek frame I was trying to figure out what to do with!

[QUOTE=inka

Have you put up photos somewhere? Would love to see. Yes, I am using 170s for that reason, which is short for my height, but it doesn't seem to bother me.[/QUOTE

]Sorry, I haven't posted any, and am away now and can't. I put on 165mm cranks which I like better than my usual 170s. What is nice about the 1983 600 sries is that they do not have braze-ons for cantilever brakes, and the Weinmann or Dia-Comp long reach brakes work.

Your project turned out beautifully. I'm a sucker for teh early Treks too. I love the seatube wrap and logo. My '82 750 has the logo on the downtube as well.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.

I went the opposite direction with my '85 Trek 600: 27" rims absolutely maxed out with 30mm tires. A real squeaker getting those under the brake bridge. Great all-arounder; I was riding all over rough pavement today on this bike.
