Just my opinion for the old stuff but the Schwinn large hubs laced to wood on the Paramounts and Superiors were pretty awesome. 30s-40s IIRC. A local collector has a set but they are not cheap (asking @800). They look like the Campy Nuovo TIpo but even bigger and look crazy with wood wheels.

Very nice!

How about these Blumfields: they are from the early 1950's, were beautifully engineered, came with felt washers to keep the dust out and green anodized track nuts.
