Specialized Roubaix Pro tires
Hello all,
I'm fixing up an old city bike, and I need 700c tires, at least 32mm wide. Specialized is having a buy one get one sale on road tires, and the Roubaix Pro looks pretty good. With the sale it's $40 a pair including shipping, cheaper than Paselas. Does anyone have any experience with these tires? Are they good?
I would prefer tan sidewalls but at that price if they're nice tires I might live with it.
Thanks!

I work in a Specialized LBS. Not all Specialized tires are included in that promotion, and I'm pretty sure the Roubaix Pros in 30/32 aren't on the BOGO list. I think the only Roubaix Pros we could get were the 23/25s. Still, even at full retail, those 30/32s are a good value.

I've got a 30-32 set up and am definitely a fan thus far. No flats (knock on woods) in about 300 miles and they have a nice feel.
I'm in the minority regarding Paselas...I hate them. If you want a pretty tire - sure. You want to use it? Not so much. These are a lot better in every regard than Paselas IMO.
Rev - I'm loving the hell out of my diverge.

I was casually reading that Specialized had just respec'd some or all of their tire range. I am not sure what exactly, the impression was that the new ones were better, all black of course. Michelin has just begun deliveries of their new tire offerings which allegedly provide reduced rolling resistance and better grip. But I don't like all black tires, must be the grey hair.
