Anybody know anything about a Lemond GAN team Replica?

Happy Memorial Day! I came across a Lemond GAN Replica frame at a local bike shop that ignited my interest. It's made out of Excel GLX tubing and has the number tab under the top tube. The owner said only a small number of these were made in 93/94. It's in pretty good shape with a couple of scratches here and there...and my size. Does anyone know anything about these frames? Not a whole info on the web. They are asking $450, which seems at the high end of the range...but maybe because it's limited in production...might be reasonable? Has anyone ever rode one of these? It does seem of pretty good quality....I'm sure Bilato brothers built it. Sorry about the crappy photo, I was on my way out of the shop

You may want to try sending a PM to Bianchigirll. IIRC, she owns one or at least used to own one. I know that Lemond rode for GAN during 1993-1994 and supplied the team bicycles, so the timeframe is correct.

BG got that from me if it's the one I think you mean...

That one was Billato built under contract. If memory serves, there were two levels of the bike.

Maybe I'm a superficial poseur, but I think a number tag adds $100 to value . . .
