New guy intro: with photos!
Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I've been getting into biking over the last few years and finally pulled the trigger on some vintage steel! I just want to thank everyone here who has contributed to the knowledge base on the CV forum, it's been very helpful over the last few months!! As soon as I figure out how to upload photos I will post pictures of the two steel bikes I bought. Hint: they are Italian.

Two photos for now, more to come later. The Bianchi is a 1973-74 model with campy and another Italian component manufacturer that starts with a G. The other bike is a Masi prestige from 1981 with full campy parts. I am currently trying to learn how to use the darn pedals with toe clips and straps, which is very frustrating at the moment.

Bikes: American, Italian, and Japanese.. in no particular order.
Like Bill said, we would love to see more pictures of your rides.
The only Italian component manufacturers that come to mind are Galli and Gipiemme.

Man, when I started getting interested in this bike stuff, I thought I was doing good with a couple of Schwinns and a low end Trek MTB.
Best!

Neat. Definitely get some pics posted and lets see that Gipiemme stuff. Learning just the same with both the Sprint and Crono groups. Funny some of the dérailleurs are just relabeled French Simplex.

Hello! and welcome to the forums. Your bikes look really neat and as said, they seems to be higher quality. Take a look a "How to photograph bikes" to provide us with some proper bike porn!
As to toeclips and straps - everyone here came through the same thing here at some point. That's including me. As for me, 8 years later, I use only this setup on all of my bikes. And get it in almost always after first attempt.
Good luck with your bikes, I wish you plentiful interesting information on those bikes, groupsets and other componentary!

Welcome here!
Looks like you have got a good thing going with those two bikes.
The Masi might need some attention as to the cable routing and lenght to look its best.
Here is my 1978 Prestige in the same colour - cables are level when looking from the front - it is the perspective that mess things up (big mayfly sitting on top the rear brake cable is optional):

Someone here posted something to the effect of: 'you're going to fall down a couple of times and look like a doof. But that'll help you learn- and then you'll just get it.' It's true.
I love wearing 'regular' shoes and clips and straps.

The test to determine if it's really a MASI is to see if it can stand on its own, despite being too tired. Behold, clearly this one, standing proudly, is the real thing!
Nice finds. I confess I only fell over once - but I was wearing cleats and straps were tight... Best part, nobody saw me, so I didn't loose any points!

Really sharp bikes!
Many C&V members really enjoy tinkering with their bikes, then posting beautiful bike porn shots of their efforts
. If you are so inclined, you may find yourself with a stable of old bikes, each of which has a different use (around town bike, rando bike, touring/adventure bike, etc.).
