Another New Guy...

Hey! Found the C&V forum whilst researching an early '80's SR I found on craigslist. Ended up buying the bike, stripped it down, cleaned it all up, touched up some paint, and put it all back together. Had a blast and now I'm hooked.

Now I'm constantly on the hunt for another project. The wife wants a road bike so, that is the new excuse.

Welcome to C&V, enjoy the new ride.

Will we be able to see any pictures soon of the SR?

Hi!

Hopefully you can find Wifey a cool bike and then she'll be tolerant/supportive about this "bike thing" that you've gotten yourself into.

You're doomed.

You're one of us, searching Craigslist, eBay, and estate sales like an addict, on the hunt for the next "score". The high will last momentarily, then on to the next score.

Memorize the n+1 mantra, beware the s-1 rule.

Welcome to the club!

Bikes: Yes, please.

Welcome! I think most of us ended up here like that, come to think of it. "Hey, a bike .... Maybe I can fix it ...."

Welcome aboard, if you have your wife into the bicycles, you are indeed a lucky man. Finding her a bike to restore should be some time well spent getting her totally in the sport.

It's already begun...I'm watching a Lemond frame for her and have spotted a PX-10 frame that I MUST have. Really, if I just get the Peugeot I can stop. I swear.
