Hubs, Rims & Saddle for c. 1960 Italian Racer?
Hello folks!
This is my first post on the forum, but I'm a long-time lurker. I am a young enthusiast who has been riding vintage steel for about a decade, and am recently caught with the bug to do some restoration work once again. I picked up an Italian-made steel road bicycle c. 1960 that is equipped with Campagnolo Gran Sport shifters and derailleurs, and a first-generation alloy Record seat post. I would like to keep the make of the bike a secret until I'm done cleaning it and take it out for a photo session...
The only things that are not original to the bike are the wheel set and saddle, which I would like to replace with contemporary equipment. The rear drop-outs were presumably 120mm but have been slightly stretched (to about 123) to accommodate a newer Record hub, so I would like to return to the 120mm that seems standard for the period. The fork has 100mm spacing. I need to choose a set of contemporary Italian hubs (with Italian threading!) and Italian 700c rims to match, as well as a leather racing saddle from that period! I would prefer also to have an Italian saddle but the options seem few and far between...
Thanks in advance!

Check the lateral alignment of the frame, if its good, I would leave it.
If off, correct.
Ambrosio or Cinelli, 3ttt would be the bar and stem choice. Cinelli or Ambrosio being my top choices.
Saddle, you could always search for an Ottussi.
I forget when the Unica Nitor saddle was introduced, it would be an all plastic affair at the beginning.
There were Italian leather saddles, but finding one in ridable shape...

I have a Record saddle, which was rideable when I got it (attached to an Atala Competizione), but after a drenching ride home from work one day, not so much. I keep thinking I might send it to Rudi Mayr ("rhm" over on bikeforums.net - not sure if he's here) and have him recover it. I'd like to put it on my current Atala.

I thought I was replying to a Paceline thread. Apologies...
