Petrie Frame
https://annarbor.craigslist.org/bik/5737195912.html
Looks like a decent frame, it is misidentified as an Al Petri frame(local shop), but spelled wrong.
There is a Petrie Cycles in randyjawa's neck of the woods.
I have no interest in the bike myself, just curious. Looks to be a decent frame. Does anyone know who built it?

Upon closer look it appears to have a DA headset and Dura Ace EX Dyna Drive crank and lightly used pedals, along with a nice wheelset.
I have no use or desire for it, or the components, just interested in the maker of the frame. I can facilitate shipping if a member does all negotiating.

From: Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada - burrrrr!
Bikes: 1958 Rabeneick 120D, 1968 Legnano Gran Premio, 196? Torpado Professional, 2000 Marinoni Piuma
Yes, there is a Pietrie's Bicycle shop in Thunder Bay but I don't think anyone there is a frame builder. That said, I see an inconsistency...
Braze on shifters and rear brake cable clamp on cable guides? That does not make sense to me unless the frame has been altered. Also, though I can't see the drops very well, they do not have wheel adjusters, suggesting a middle of the line bicycle, or perhaps a bit less.

This is very much a frankenbike. As noted, the headeset, crankset and pedals appear to be Dura-Ace EX, yet the rear derailleur appears to be 600EX and the front hub has a 600EX skewer nut. The rear hub is Campagnolo Record. I don't recognize the brakeset.
Top tube cable clips in conjunction with shift lever braze-ons were not uncommon during the mid-1970s. Many frame builders were still reluctant to braze fittings onto the top tube due to the lighter gauge tubing. However, top tube cable tunnels were common by the time that dual bottle bosses and front derailleur bosses came into common use. I would also have expected recessed brake mounts by this time. This makes it hard to peg the timeline and suggests the frame is custom or owner built.
However, I agree, that is a very good price.
