Stronglight Bernard Hinault, which is also possibly one of the lightest headsets ever made. Or if you REALLY wanna go weight weenie, I just got a 58cm Vitus 979 frame, hehe. I'd do an even trade frame for frame. You could end up sub 20 without trying all that hard.,,,,BD

Bikes: It's complicated.

I'm calling this one fixed but will continue to monitor closely. Pics of the surgery:

Disassembled the 5800 brake caliper and filed down the part of the caliper interfering with the headset

Quick touch up with a paint pen

Able to mount with no interference!

I now answer to gugie, Crapmaster, and Nostradamos.

I also filed down my 5800 front brake caliper to help clear the headset. I didn't file mine down quite as much as yours, but I still need to use three washers behind the caliper. The offending portion of the brake caliper seems really beefy, so we should be fine right?? I sure hope so...I've got about 200 miles post-filing with no issues.

I think we're fine. There is a surprising amount of material there making it very bulky.
