L'Ombra NJ/NY century ride again this Autumn??
Last September @rhm selflessly planned out the L'Ombra century ride in Central NJ for those of us who live here in the NE/Mid Atlantic and were unable to attend L'Eroica CA. In the interest of making this a tradition I would like to propose planning another ride that will take place on one of the weekends in either Sept. or Oct. depending on interest and people's schedules. I would be open to any ride location so if anyone has ideas for a route feel free to voice them. Last year's location in NJ was great and I would certainly have no issue with a redo if Rudi were up for it.
Here is a link to @Prowler recap of the day. I have also tagged all of last year's participants @nikkorod @Vonruden @rccardr @fender1 @Sir_Name @Citoyen du Monde and Jim) and hope to partake in another great C&V ride.

I'm in if the sched. will allow it! Thanks Greg. I have a busy fall, need to look at the calendar before I offer up dates.

Count me in!
Note Trexlertown VeloFest is October 1. One might consider combining a ride with that. I'm not sure I'm free that weekend, though.

I will try to make it this year. Northern NJ is best for me and closer to our NYC folks.

Hey, I was there, wasn't I? I vote for at least a century or a 200k.

Death fork? Naaaah!!
How about one of the Bronx River Parkway's bike Sundays? I'd travel for that, for decent pizza if nothing else.

I'm up for it but have a prettty busy schedule (happens when one retires). Cino this weekend, Maine in early October, Great Pumpkin in later October, Tucson in November.
Let me know the date, Saturdays are better, I'll see what I can do.
L'Ombre!

@top506 I will be riding the Bronx River this Sunday for the first ride of September but that is only a quick 25 mile round trip ride for me. @nlerner Whoops! My apologies Neal, I thought that I included you. Believe me you were not forgotten. I also propose a century but would be up for more if that is what is preferred. @LarryBSky Do you have any route suggestions for NNJ? I do not know the area at all but am open to any ideas.
Does anyone have any other location preferences for a route or would a repeat in Central Jersey be preferred? However that would depend on whether that works for Rudi.
If Saturdays are the best bet we can start to narrow down dates that might work best.

Well there's plenty of great riding on and around the CT shore, though that's further east than most of the group. Seems like the consensus is toward NJ/NY. I'm up for whatever assuming I'm free. Agreed on a longer distance.

I have no objection to CT if others wanted to do that.

Well, one wrinkle with longer distances is that it likely means riding in the dark for the latter part of the ride (or the start, too, depending on starting time). I'm fine with that as I have dyno hubs and lights, but it needs to be taken into consideration.

Sure. It may be best to determine distance once a date+rough roster and location are set. I'll go over the calendar this weekend and throw out any dates I can attend, hopefully the list aligns well with the group.
And I'll plan to be ready at the start this year...!
