Your son finds a custom made daruma assembly by Tomii in the spare tire well of the Focus, long considered lost.
My Roberts is happy.

Sorry

It's to mount a front fender to a fork. I had a 27" bike converted to 650b and need this to get a nice fender line.

Used to mount front mud guards - the bolt on the front brake passes through the "eyelet" (nut) to hold it in place.

No worries, I'm a lifelong mechanic and still consider these valuable learning experiences as it never seems to end. So its a good day when you learn something new!

Bikes: '74 Raleigh International utility; '98 Moser Forma road; '92 Viner Pro CX upright

a Daruma goes inside the fork crown and hangs the front fender from the front brake bolt

How to Install Honjo aluminum bicycle fenders

this one has a tapered washer below the fork crown - thinner at the front, thicker at the back

And to think I figured that Flog was into serious, small, artisan oriental hardware sculpture. (man that was tough to type, PD makes for some interesting spellings, ;^{/)

Actually, that is pretty ingenious set up for mounting a fender, very nice and well engineered.

When I wake up. Read the obituaries and don't see my name in there.
Also learn what a darama is. Btw does the top eyelet have to be a nut?

It seems like someone had a bad day here... I mean, why else would you be looking in the spare tire well?

Bikes: LESS than I did a year ago!

Its a good day when...

Actually...to my favorite saying..."everyday is a good day, some are better...how do we make today a better day?"

So...better days are when...

My health allows me to ride the bike...OUTDOORS! I was able to do 20 miles (two 10 milers) outside for the first time in about a year this weekend...and loved it...was totally disappointed when it rained all day yesterday...as I was hoping for another 10 miler! But...I should get one in this week!
