Twin Cities fall ride?
Any chance we could plan a fall ride this year for the Twin Cities area? We could always plan something for the Hastings area as well. Let's try to plan something before the weather changes!

OK, I'm game. I'd be happy to put together a ride that heads out from the east side (aka my place) through Afton, to Hudson, then Stillwater, and home by and easier route. Maybe 40-50 miles with the same general level of climb/flat as the early summer ride we did?
Alternately, we can try something similar to last year when we did some path rides on the Grand Rounds. Need to check my calendar though, my weekends are getting pretty packed and Saturday's are usually best.

Dates that work for me:
Saturdays (anytime): 10/15,10/29
Sundays (noon and later): 10/2, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30
Suggest a 35-40 mile easygoing no drop ride.

Alrighty then... 10/15 seems to work for most of the likely suspects.
If everyone is ok with an east side route (Afton area) I'll think of a few options with 35-40 mile distances. Suggest a 10 am start that late in the season as it takes awhile for the sun to warm up the valleys.
Should be a good time.

10/15 and 10/16 are out for me. :-( I'll watch the thread to see if the date changes for any reason - I think I'd be OK on the other dates maybe with the exception of 10/2.

Adult beverages are in the equation, but not sure if the 30-40 miles will warrant more than a snack stop. Post ride should be a reputable watering hole with associated pub grub.
May audition the route tomorrow. Some little ring climbing but the steepest grades are on the downhill (mafac brakes may be challenged) May post pics if not raining during the ride.

We are doing a couples' ride tomorrow.
Hopefully it won't rain all day.
We'll do the Mpls. Grand Round plus 32 miles in St. Paul.
I just noticed there are 7 breweries on this particular route.
Wonder who planned that one?
