Bontrager MTB - Anyone have knowledge about them?
Howdy everyone,
A guy I work with is selling a Bontrager MTB, 1989 or 1990 vintage. Does anyone have any knowledge on these? He is asking $250.00 and says it's in good shape. I haven't seen it yet. Doesn't seem to be too much information on the ole' internet about them. Does this price seem reasonable? Can you point me in the direction of some info? Thanks in advance!
Doug

Good deal, the frames by themselves sell for that.

Confirm the actual year: if it's a true Keith -Built frame I'd be looking closely and with wallet ready.
The one (minor) caveat is the 1" steerer that he favored: hard to find replacement forks if the fork is blown/toast...only the later Trek-built frames went to 1-1/8" and those may be nice, too but not the catch that a true KB Bonty would be.

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure the fork is 1" based on a couple of pictures He showed me. I will definitely check it out. Thanks!
