Tour De Fat
Does anyone go in their town? I wanted to go last year but something came up. It's not really a vintage ride but will be in Tempe tomorrow. And since its New Beligium sponsored (Fat Tire beer) I am sure there will be many cruiser and vintage bikes.

Yeah, I've been lots of times. I liked the slow bike race and I really enjoyed the kinetic bike sculptures that were around a while back, especially the ones that made a racket. I was in a band that plays the Tour regularly, and that was some of the most fun I've had.

Thanks for the info. I will go and do the first ride at least. starts at 11am then slow race is like 1:30. It's at the Tempe Town Lake off Mill ave. With 80k+ ASU students on campus and beer, it should be interesting at least. I'll try and get some pics.

New Belgium does a great fundraiser for SABA (Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates). In return I support their beer!

It was a good time! We only did the first ride. I don't know the numbers but riders were into thousands I would say. Groups of different types, roller derby riders, lowriders, road, stretched, bmx, tons of middle and heavyweight bikes. Saw some vintage but nothing that really stood out.
I did not go into the party zone as you had to leave your bike outside and I did not bring locks. For some reason I thought it was going to be ok to be on bike in that area but was wrong. Mill is full of places to eat and bars so we went elsewhere in the same vicinity. I went to Pedal Haus, been wanting to go there since its bike themed. Did not meet expectations as far as bike theme, but could not complain about food and service was good, beer too of course.
