I use hybrid SPDs and these A520s which are 1 sided.
The hybrid SPDs, which are the A530 and M324 and have SPD on one side then platform on the other, are on my touring bikes and my gravel bike/around town bike. I like the platform for when I dont want to use cycling shoes.

These A530s are on my road bikes. I wouldnt ride them in running shoes, so Ill only use SPDs. I like the look of the A530 more than the dualside SPD pedals. Cool sleek design.

Those A530s look nice. I got M324s a couple of months ago, and they're excellent. I never should have messed with Wellgo/Nashbar pedals. Shimano pedals are of very high quality.

I'm very happy with the look. Blends well with my vintage components.

Use #0000 steel wool and rub lightly until the black logo is gone. Don't push too hard - let the steel wool do the work. Likely a slight shadow of the logo will remain. Then use a good metal polish (Simichrome or Maas are the best) to finish. This will eliminate any remaining traces of the logo and produce a mirror shine.

That and they're light, elegant, simple, work great, and best of all - polished aluminum! You can use walkable shoes too. The perfect pedals, IMO.

I ordered a set about 2 weeks ago. I am an spd fan & thought they would look great on one of my old Campy bikes. Looks like others had the same idea!

Because the bicycle they are designed for will not be ridden but clipped in and such cyclists prefer minimal designs.

I bought a set of these, I like them but I like the 105 single side SL better but it cost more and weighs less.

Old school carb cleaner like Berrymans or Motorcraft PM-2 will strip most logos, smudges, paint transfer, tar, grease and just about anything else, nasty stuff, be careful, works great. ;);)

I ordered 4 pairs and may need to order 4 more -- i like to standardize the fleet a bit when it comes to things like pedals,

2 were installed on Shiimano equipped bikes, -- the axle does not appear to be Dura Ace level, but they blend in fine on a DA 7800 bike, as well as a 9 speed 105 machine.

2 went on Campy machines, and i rubbed the Shimano logo off with fine steel wool - i'll try to post a pic or 2 later

I don't have much more than a run or 2 around the block on these yet as I'm battling some flu like symptoms , but its nice weather here, so I hope to have a more thorough "range report" soon --- weight is reported at 315 grams, while a Shimano 105 in SPD SL format with a carbon body is 285 grams ---
