What you have is a large collection of not-really-valuable old bikes. Every bike has a buyer out there somewhere, but hardly any that will be besting down your door to get it. I would suggest taking a booth at a local flea market; you have enough bikes to keep you busy for all next summer to sell off.

Bikes: Not that many, just getting started.
You would think with such big haul like that there would be a few "top enders" You still might dig something out that is Mid-high range. who knows. A place to start is what do you have there that has a Reynolds 531 sticker or Campagnolo? etc.
Other than that people want vintage low-mid range model riders, but they expect them to be refurbished and don't want to pay that much. (which is tall order for with all that inventory)
Dust um off and move them "as is" IMO.

Cleaning and regreasing some of these for family & friends should be a ball, as it all appears like it was stored in a dry place. It's ok to see value beyond resale prices. Lots of interesting stuff there.

Did I miss the story about the find? Maybe it is not important. What kind of place was this stash? What kind of person would stash these bikes. They look like they are in great shape as in 4/5 would be rideable with a tire pump and a couple squirts of WD-40. and if you washed em with soap and water they would shine. What fun.

Yup, I haven't even laid eyes on all of them... plenty of piles like this that I haven't even looked at. (although this particular pile has me excited because I noticed a Milano Sport (green) and something that ends in "perbe(?) in the picture)
Edit: it's a 1968 Raleigh Superbe buried in there... mystery solved

This is the worst (or best?) kind of bike pron. Like a slow strip tease, lol. Cool find.
Also love the attitude you have with this. Hope you make some money at it but sounds like you're going to have a bunch of fun with it as well.

I highly recommend a product called Challenger. Comes in a spray bottle. Spritz that Motobecane or any of those bikes with the Challenger and then hose off with a garden hose. You'll be amazed how easily the bikes will clean up. Will save you tons of time.

Just ordered some, thanks for the recommendation!

I think you might benefit more from renting (or borrowing) an electric pressure washer. Set the spray to a low setting and give them a quick blast. As one stated already, much more dust than rust!
What doesn't come off, Challenger to the rescue.

The older bike lazyass posted I'm thinking could be a Euro market version. The bottom location of the cable guides and DT power shifters don't coincide with US models I have seen. (??) Then again maybe it's a 76??

The mystery Super Mirage is a 1977 model. In 1976 and 1977 they had the brake cable guides at 5 o'clock on the top tube. In 1978 they moved to the top of the top tube. The down tube shifters were probably put on to replace the original stem shifters. The crank was also replaced and the bike now appears to be sporting a triple. Given the added-on rack and fenders, maybe it was converted into a more functional touring bike. Almost the same thing I did with a 1976 S/M I used to tour on many moons ago.

Raleigh Superbe... Some serious patina on this one, but will certainly be fixing this one up for myself... love it.

Don't know anything about this one...

It's an Atala...

Not sure if there's any value in this old electric kit...

I marvel at so many crazy, tall seat pins and stems! A couple of the cranks catch my attention, like on the Royal Prince and the "don't know the name but very clean" contraption.

The owner of these bikes was a GIANT!
