Colnago is finished.
Thanks to satbuilder for picking this one up for me and shipping it. Thanks to SuperLJ for a great deal on a nice San Marco Regal and thanks to BluesDaddy for a bottom bracket I needed. Turned out pretty good, it did have some issues around the top tube cable guides that some touch up paint took care of. Now I have to wait until the snow melts.
Sorry for the poor photos, but its 5 degrees out with snow and bike placement was limited.

Looks real nice. Kicking myself for not going after that one but glad she has a good home. What model do you think it is and what was the extra wheel set that came with it?

Thanks for the replies. Not sure, might be a Mexico? The other wheels were Mavic with Campy hubs.

I love that bicycle -- thanks for posting! I do have to tell you my Colnago story, though. When I was working at a Los Angeles area bike shop chain in the early 1970s, one of the branch managers spent multiple hundreds of dollars on a new Colnago, and I suggested we take a ride up Tuna Canyon (12 percent average grade for about 3 miles in the hills of Malibu) to break it in. He got to the first switchback, said, "This is BS," and turned around to head home. I completed the climb, proving the superiority of my $150 Nishiki Competition.

Great bike! Reminds me of a friend's Colnago Super that used to live down the street from me where I grew up. His was grey if I recall so prolly won't go as fast as your red bike.
You mention two wheelsets. Are the wheels pictured clincher and the other campy/mavic set tubular?

And sloar, you did very well! Saronni red is a fave. When you get a chance, lets see some close-ups of the chainstays and bb. With the fork crown and chrome on the ds chainstay, single bottle cage bosses, front der. braze-on, it appears early 1980's. Not often seen are three tt cable guides.

I knew Steve would like it, it's red. Both wheelsets are clinchers. I kept the Mexico 68 wheels and gave the Mavics to satbuilder.

The bike was complete and just need cleaned and touched up. I ordered the saddle, bar tape, bottom bracket and cranks before the bike arrived. Then I just lug it all up to the fire dept and I have 24 hours to wrench on my bike as long as there are no calls.
