Ha! I sensed since last week an assault on my score was in the works. But have been so busy mitigating cat odors, cigarette odors, making the basement usable at my new abode.

So just nabbed this 2 hours ago. 1969 Cougar Cobra Jet 428 + my 1985 Raleigh Alyeska = 80 points.

BACK ON TOP!!!

I am going to go back tomorrow to see if the VW Thing across the street shows up again!

(3.1) Your own car is allowed, but anyone's cars/trucks are fair game. NO motorcycles.
(IV) Because I said so, that's why.
(5-ish) Both must be parked out in the open air; street, parking lot, cattle pasture, etc.
(#duh) Car and bike must be in same photo, obviously.
(Z'''最初) Both bike and car must be in (apparently) operable condition

Two categories:
Category 1 is oldest overall combo (1 bike + 1 car)
Category 2 is highest cumulative score of all your legit entries (and no using same bike or same car in more than one picture).

If you're not sure on the age of the car/truck, take your best guess, use the googles to check, and then correct the info if someone more knowledgable calls you out on it. Ditto on age of bike.

Contest goes until end of April 2017.

My first entry (which should be pretty easy to beat): 1989 Trek + 1955 Ford = 28 years + 62 years = 90 points

Is a 1965 Cushman Motor Scooter a enterable vehicle or motorcycle?

OK @oddjob2, you're back on top - for now. But I got a few more arrows in the bicycle quiver. And at least one late 30's pickup truck yet unphotographed. I'll be back.
@petritl - OK, I'm in love with your '62 300 But you need to date the bike for us and total your points (so far - something tells me you'll be back, too).

Wait, wait, this is important... Is that a 300-H [] or [ho-hum] a plain vanilla 300?

How about an 1882 Rudge (135 years old) plus a 1974 Alpine Renault A310 (43 years old) for a total of 178. (a bit of cheating there as the bike is a bit older), I do have a photo somewhere of my 1954 model year (built 1953) Fiat 500C and my 1953 Marastoni which would yield 128.

I doubt if I will be able to dig up the photo that I am looking for, but it combines the two vehicles pictured, both built in 1953.

What's that yellow car in the background?! I can't place it, but I think I am in love.

It is a little car that I owned for 14 years (It is now in the hands of a collector in Japan). It is a 1974 Alpine Renault A310. To get a better appreciation of its size, here is another photo.

The pic limits for size are too small, but I have a 1968 Cadillac DeVille Convertible in arctic blue and a 1978 Raleigh Pro Mk V in the blue mink. 49 +39 = 88 points. Double points because they are both mine and I still own them both. Triple points for the 1978 being bought new by me.
So 88 + 88. + 38 - 214 points!

ZERO POINTS!

But you get the honorable mention for the most creative rule-flouting in a single entry. And the red badge of shame for no pics.

No where near the lead for points but here is my 1967 Westfalia and my 1977 MASA Slingshot. I actually sold the westy a few years ago (went to the UK) but I have an identical one now under restoration. I also have three MASA Slingshots.

LEADERBOARD:

CAT 1: (one car + one bike) @frameteam2003 = 200 pts.

Safe-bet favorite since he posted very early in contest; c'mon someone, knock this guy off!
________________________

CAT 2: (total points cumulative all qualifying cars + bikes)
@oddjob2 = 637 pts
@petritl = 488 pts
@Lascauxcaveman = 473 pts

Darkhorse petritl has really come on strong in the last week of this contest; has he got enough ammo left to knock off heavyweight champ oddjob? I've got a few bikes to get out on tomorrow if I'm going to have a shot here.

Give me another 91 points: '71 Beetle + 72 Lambert; both somewhat customized. I'm dating the Beetle by the info in the for sale sign on the window. (No, I'm not going to buy it.)

That puts me back in 2nd place, Cat 2, with 564 pts. Temporarily 2nd place; I am sure

This contest ends at 11:59:59pm Sunday night. Post 'em up, folks!

My bike colour clashed with this beauty

A beauty for me, 'cause i drove a '62 Mini for my senior year in college. Mine was not this nice, by a long shot. Mine had come from the Carribean (Bermuda?) - no heater, no radio, and a 'sand beach 'n salt air' body.

ZERO points but a neato car.
and i wanted to post in this cooool thread.
