I have a Dremel 3000 and find it useful for a lot of light work. However, it failed 3 or 4 times due to field wire snapping. There are aluminum connectors crimped on the thin field coil wires, and they came apart. I repaired them, but it wouldn't have been practical to replace the field coils or toss the tool each time.

Huh- I've got one w/ a flex shaft sitting in it's box - rarely use it. Might have to reconsider.
