"specifications subject to change..." never had so much truth as when it came to Gitanes of the bike boom era! You can find TdF models built with 3 different dropouts all within a year or 2 of each other, as well as different stay cap "treatments"...vive le difference...but I'd say this is a TdF without doubt, just one you have to use with a "claw" style RD, which actually might be seen as a plus!

Yeah...I've seen them with Simplex dropouts, Campy dropouts, Huret dropouts. The no-hanger type is a first for me. That's what made me think it's from an older bike.
