Anyone here used Universal AER sidepulls?

I 've been thinking of one day using the AER brakeset I have in my stash on a stalled project, because I love the way the black and silver calipers look, along with their eccentric pad holder adjusters and very elegantly shaped wheel guides. I noticed though that some in the forum had mentioned that they do not provide good stopping power, but never elaborated on it. I also noticed that they do not sell that we'll at eBay, despite sometimes being priced at what seems to be a bargain, considering what they look to be really well made and the very pleasing aesthetics I mentioned. A lot of them for sale also look like theywere hardly used. Other than the iffy plastic aero levers that Universal provided as an (upgrade?) Option, I cannot set why the brakeset is not that popular..... Are they really that bad at slowing bikes down??

Thanks for reminding me about that thread I posted a long time ago on the AER, DD! I forgot all about it. I could have just bumped that thread back to life instead......the pics would help to back up my description of the brakeset.
Now I'm wondering what type of "experience" CV-6 had with it?

You didn't read my comment in the thread? They have a rep as a bad stopper and I can confirm that.
