So I'm browsing OfferUp and a guy is advertising "1970's Cinelli bicycles" with the pics below:

$125 and he'd meet me half way, about 45 minute drive for me.
Not being exactly sure what I was in for I figured I'd at least be able to make my money back.

Blue bike is an early - mid '80's Vitus 1st gen, full Dura Ace group except the seatpost.

And while that made my day, it was the gray bike that eventually stole the show.

I have been told that this is a 1972 Paramount. Campy crank, headset, seatpost; Cinelli stem and bars. Campy HF rear hub, D/A front.

Me happy.

Vitus is for milady, Paramount is for funding that and future efforts.

Thanks! Now I'm searching for the correct Vitus decals - and trying to find out if the Paramount has original paint...fun but what a distraction from all the real work I have to do!

Bikes: 1974 Paramount ~ 1974 Raleigh Pro ~ 1977 Pro-Tour ~ 1978 TX900 ~ IronMan 85,87:E/M,88:M/Pro,89:E ~ 98 Peugeot Festina Replica

I am not a paramount expert, but in comparison to my 74 Paramount P10, the color looks to be the same mine is called "Silver Mist", But mine has polished lugs on the headtube, with yours being a track bike it may not hold true.

hopefully the paramount experts Metacortex and Scooper will be along shortly
