Picked these up At the co-op the other day. I haven’t found any other information on this brand aside from someone that found some titanium QR skewers at a swap meet.

Made by “Bunton Precision Machine” this set of titanium “Bunton Bolts” comes with everything you need to titanium-ify your 97 XT or XTR equipped bike, including TI axles! The derailleur mounting bolt is especially nice. If even comes with TI derailleur limit screws, which must shave off several nanograms.

Jim was all about the fork crown, I imagine it was the touring thing and he was making sure they were up to the task.

He also favored canti's and had them on his bike JM027 that I have now but the posts were removed before he sold the frame, you can't tell they were ever there.

He made some from scratch.

Old-school protective seal for the lower headset bearing, made by cutting a section of an old inner tube.

JUst curious, but what are they pricing the Ochsner?

These are actually very nice bikes. I saw a surprising number of them in the Greenwood SC area, and actually owned a couple along the way. I think they're tretubi, but they're solidly built and ride very well.

Maybe, I see thin electrical tape that is probably being used to hold the fork from flopping around and was curious to make sure nothing nefarious was hiding underneath.

You rarely see any primarily non off road bikes with a bearing gator. ;)

Our local co-op appears to be on a downhill slide. They moved to a smaller, shared space and just don't get the amount of (interesting) stuff they used to have. Saw these recently and can get more detail if anyone is interested.

Since you may be going back: what size would you say that Giordana frame is? Never saw one with those graphics before, can you check what the tubing decal says, too? Much appreciated!

Thanks to hazetguy for the pix and follow-up: folks that Giordana is (so sad to say) too big for me and has some odd-ball graphics, BUT it's Excell tubing (assuming decals are legit) so in my book a thoroughbred. I wish It was a tick smaller but I have to pass and SOMEbody should jump on this and grab a deal of the day/month/year!

Found a Sturmey-Archer high flange alloy front hub. Never seen one of these.

Today I found a Cannondale H400 frameset that I've seen hanging up inside for years but they finally tossed it.

At the bottom of the dumpster lies a Schwinn 564 frame with its odd expanding seatpost intact. I can probably get that if anyone needs it.

If that quill seatpost comes out easily, it's something totally adding to a stash of parts or to sell off. Make or break a bike with that part.

The rear drop on the "Dale" seems to be missing.....

Yeah, the derailleur hanger is gone but the dropout is intact. The top tube cable guides are broken or missing; the real Cannondale brand stuff. Overall it seems to be in okay shape. Not beautiful, but it could be a neat project for someone.

You can see that the left boss on the fork is slightly bent. Should still be serviceable.

Next to their dumpster today. Mismatched wheels but in better shape than it looks. I'd grab it if I wanted/needed another project or knew someone tall enough to need it. Would make a good drop bar conversion for touring.

I found this pair of hubs at my local co-op. Older model of Sunshine hubs and a great case of Campy copy. They were pretty dirty as the pics will show, but cleaned up quite nicely without need for any refurbishing of bearing races. They had Campy grease in them and spin smoothly. Pics:

Close up of cones and axle and how nice they are for a less costly set back in the day.
This is again a great pick up from the co-op. Cost was Zero but will be worth a lot to a rebuild of a vintage bike or collector. Another save from the dumpster of great vintage parts thanks to the good folks who cut these out and saved them. Smiles, MH

I raced and trained on two pairs of the low flange versions. Kept one of each and still have them. Replaced my trainer front cones with slightly undersized Campy Record and did a sailor's whip after packing with Phil Wood to seal the gap between locknut and dustcap. 1982? That hub saw two years as a training wheel before the new cones, so real use. After the cones, low miles but few of those miles were road. Pulled the wheel down recently thinking I would repack the bearings with new grease. Spun the axle. Never felt bearing so good! Whipping is staying but I'm taking the Weinmann Concave off and lacing it to a quality sewup rim. Sadly, the rear hub which as seen a much softer life (race only, low miles) is 120 FW. I could re-axle it to 126 but I'd need a new bike to put it on. (That front will do nicely on my best fix gear.)
