I received the Trek 950/959 from Colorado tonight thanks to a BF member. It was dark by the time I got it out of the box as it was incorrectly delivered to the local Walmart instead of to my address. All I have tonight is a crappy basement pic. The bike is pretty dirty and needs a good cleaning. Crankset is Super Record, RD, FD are both Nuovo Record, Shifters also NR (I think), Brake calipers and levers are Modolo Speedy. Bottom bracket is Campy. Headset is Zues, which I thought was cool.
It was listed as a 959, but the serial number only shows the 950 series. The 959 was all Dura-Ace in the Trek catalogs. The 950/959 was only offered in this color in 1981 and 1981.5. My serial number is early in the 1982 run. Does that make it a 1981.5?

I was hoping to get it cleaned up before it got shipped out to you but did not make it down there before it got shipped. It had been sitting in the shop for awhile, its a Mountain Bike kind of city so it did not have any takers.

I am so jealous while reading this thread about Bike Co-Ops. Despite a population of about 3 million people in the area stretching from Miami to West palm Beach, I do not know of a single Co-Op within a 50 mile radius of the Fort Lauderdale area. You are all lucky people.

Man, you get nicer bikes and the place (even in those photos) looks much better furnished/lit/cleaned/decorated than ours does.

Usually I buy cheap parts for the bikes i flip, but last Saturday I saw in the bike area a Schwinn Super Tourer, missing the seat, the bolt from the bars, with all cables cut. The rest was there, with the Campagnolo rear derailleur and all original parts. Plus the paint in nice condition. No price. I asked the guy from there and after he checked eBay, he told me 80$.
Fair enough. I got it home.

I've posted these elsewhere but since they came from the co-op I figure they qualify for this thread. These two I just could not resist. The green Condor is a 700C wheel Sturmey 3-speed bike. I keep telling myself that I bought it for the wheels to build up my Raleigh Pro frameset. Yep, one of these days that's just what I'm going to do. Yes, sirree...

The other is a neglected Raleigh DL-1 in the uncommon 22" frame size. Did not need this bike but figured it might be my last chance to get one for ten bucks.
