Bikes: One of everything and three of everything French

What size is this frame?

saw this on PDX CL. What's your guess on the size? I'm not sure I've ever seen a larger bike. Or even one equal.

I'm going to guess 70cm. The head tube is nearly as long as the fork blades.

27" frame if that's a Univega. They did not use metric sizing at that time. Fuji and others made 'em that big also, and Panasonic made a 28" frame.

I concur with thumpism. This is a Miyata manufactured Univega and their standard XL frame size was 27".

Not sure how big it is but the stem looks to be set above where I'd expect the upper limit mark to be.
It's certainly a long way to fall.

It would be a great hot weather bike since it could take 12 water bottles in the frame.

You're not looking hard enough. There a couple of others but this one is the most recent tall bike thread. Tall bike thread (64cm and up)

Bikes: Current 79 Nishiki Custum Sport, Jeunet 620, notable previous bikes P.K. Ripper loop tail, Kawahara Laser Lite, Paramount Track full chrome, Raliegh Internatioanl, Motobecan Super Mirage. 59 Crown royak 3 speed

I would say it's a 27inch about 68cm which was the biggest production tubset offered by Tange at the time.

Forget the frame. Look at the drop and reach on those handlebars!

I could ride inside that frame quite comfortably, thank you. Maybe I could even enclose it on rainy days. Might need some bar extenders though.
